Representation of the Greek god Hermes, god of commerce, also assimilated to Mercure in the roman mythology. He holds in his right hand a purse of coins and in his left hand the Caduceus, scepter intertwined with 2 snakes which represents the Divine of Hermes because it allows to cure the bites of snakes. The head of the sculpture is crowned with a winged hat, representing that Hermes is the messenger of the gods.
